RN FAA Captain Mess Uniform
A Royal Naval officer's doeskin Number 2 mess uniform ranked to a Captain, consisting of jacket, waistcoat and trousers (shirt/tie/braces not included, shirts/braces usually available as an option). Jacket has Captain's lace, Fleet Air Arm pilot's "wings" and QC RN officers' buttons /links (1 link is RAF). Waistcoat is full-backed although note that the rear seam has been unstitched. Trousers are zip fly with hook/eye waist fastening, side waist adjusters and braces buttons.

Date:     1957

Sizes:   Jacket approx 38/39" chest. Trousers approx 33" waist. Actual measurements are:

Chest Width (laid flat):      20"

Shoulder:                          18"

Jacket Waist                     18" (buttoned)

Length:                              22"

Sleeve:                              23"

Waistcoat waist:                n/a

Trouser waist:                    33" (+1" to let out)

Inside Leg:                         30" (+1.5"to let down)

Condition:         Good condition. Light wear but clean and damage free. Note the unstitched rear seam of the waistcoat.
