RAF Mess Uniform, Flight Lt. Pilot
RAF No.5 mess uniform consisting of jacket, waistcoat and trousers (shirt/tie not included, braces/shirts usually available as an option). Jacket is ranked to a Flight Lieutenant and has mounted QC buttons, link buttons and pilot's brevet/"wings". Wool waistcoat is full backed with mounted buttons. Trousers are button fly with side waist adjusters.

Sizes:        Jacket approx 40/41" chest. Trousers approx 35" waist. Actual measurements are:

Chest Width (laid flat):               21.5"

Shoulder:                                   17"

Jacket Waist (width, buttoned):  19.5"

Length:                                       21"

Sleeve:                                       23.5"

Waistcoat waist (laid flat):          20"

Trouser waist:                            35" (nothing to let out)

Inside Leg:                                 30.5" (+2.5" to let down)

Condition:          Jacket has a single moth hole (approx 6mm x 2mm) on rear elbow (see photo). Elsewhere a few very minor/small spots of surface moth tracing. Fading of rank lace. Some minor creases. Waistcoat has a moth hole (approx 2mm diameter) just to right of buttons. Trousers have two small (approx 1mm) moth holes at front on right thigh.
