Mess Uniform - Royal Corps of Transport Lt. Colonel
British Army mess dress uniform for a RCT Lieutenant Colonel. Consists of jacket and trousers (shirt/tie/braces not included). Wool jacket with cream facings and cuffs, Lieutenant Colonel's crowns and stars/pips and staybrite QC RCT buttons to epaulettes, RCT collar dogs and becketts for mini-medals. Trousers are high backed, with a fitted/tapered leg and elastic foot straps.Button fly, with hook/eye waist fastening and braces buttons.

Date:  Jacket undated. Trousers 1961.

Size: Approx 37/38" chest. Trousers 35" waist.

Chest Width (laid flat):  19"

Shoulder:  17.5"

Jacket Waist (width, laid flat):  n/a, worn open.

Length:  19"

Sleeve:  24.5"

Trouser waist:  35"

Inside Leg:  30" (to instep)

Condition:  Good. Jacket clean and damage free other than some light moth nips (not holes) to cuff. Trousers clean and damage free although the stripes cream colour has partially washed out. Some trouser buttons are replacements.
