Royal Marine Officer No1 Tunic, 1959 A bespoke tailored Royal Marine officer's No1 tunic without buttons, for collection or as basis to make up a new uniform. Tunic is 1959 dated. Press studs sewn on lapels. All buttons/rank etc removed. Fully lined in silk. By Gieves.
Tunic: Approx 37/38". Measurements are:
Chest Width (laid flat): 19.5"
Waist (width, laid flat): 18"
Condition: Reasonable condition. Tunic is free from physical damage, other than a couple of small period repairs and holes to epaulettes where rank insignia have been removed. Tunic is quite worn in terms of "shine" to the material. Would be improved with a dry clean. Will never be upto military standard again, but would make good base for anyone wishing to recreate a post-war (or wartime) RM No1 uniform.
